Purpose:
This script is a glimpse into the lives of new parents. As the baby finally arrives, the couple's focus shifts to the demands of daily life, leaving little time for intentional parenting. The exhaustion and overwhelm of the parenting journey can make it difficult to keep one's focus on what truly matters - raising godly children and growing in their own relationship with God and each other. Their church introduces them to the ‘Family Dedication’ event where parents dedicate their child to God in front of the church and help them find the support they need to raise their children in a godly way and to grow in their own faith.

Steve: You have a point… we were so busy buying and doing all the things on the checklist that we completely missed out on doing something to prepare ourselves spiritual to raise our baby! What if…(Panicked and talking fast). What if God doesn’t want him to be a doctor?! What if he supposed to be an artist, like you or a carpenter like me? What do we know about being Godly parents? What do we know about raising him to become a Godly man? I wish God had sent a training manual when He gave us Samuel.
